Those members

retiring after July 1, 2011, will receive a three percent Cost of Living Adjustment on the

retirement benefit attributable to the service earned prior to July 1, 2011, and no cost of living

adjustment for service earned after July 1, 2011.

“Government workers, like private sector employees, deserve the opportunity to save for the

future, but taxpayers shouldn’t be asked to foot that bill alone.”

Governor Scott said that modernizing the Florida Retirement System would help reduce

spending and help get government back to its core missions

Governor Scott will send his full budget proposals to the Legislature on Monday, February 7th.
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Hey Blogger, check this out...

It's me, Marjory Albury

I just found out about something pretty cool, and you were
the first person I thought of when I saw it.

It's a great Optin Page Generator Software, and you get
it f*ree.

I just know you would want to see it too, so check it out.

Here is the site:

http://optinbutton.com/?2739

Let me know what you think...

Talk soon,
-Marjory
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Back Again Key Lime Juice

An associate reading Key Lime Juice presented another version of Key Lime Juice Cake.

This one is for adults. This is a little humour

This Comes from a true Key West Conch who has lived in many other locations but as a Conch she has a great care for Paradise and those who are still there and those who have left. Read each line and visualize the thought.

This is not about Conchs or Key West but I thought with the stress everyone is sharing about *IKE* it might bring a little laughter to your day......... I found it true and funny but then I have been known to walk to the beat of a different drummer (so my precious Mama informed me).

Thinking and praying for you all.

Hugs

ruthie

You all should be aware of hurricane preparations, but in case you need a refresher course: You have entered the peak of the hurricane season. Right now, you can to turn on the TV and see a weather person pointing to some radar blob down in the Caribbean and making two basic meteorological points.

(1) There is no need to panic.
(2) You could all be killed.

Yes, hurricane season is an exciting time to be in Florida . If you're new to the area, you're probably wondering what you need to do to prepare for the possibility that we'll get hit by "the big one."

Based on our insurance industry experiences, we recommend that you follow this simple three-step hurricane preparedness plan:

STEP 1:

Buy enough food and bottled water to last your family for at least three days.

STEP 2:

Put these supplies into your car.

STEP 3:

Drive to Nebraska and remain there until Halloween. Unfortunately, statistics show that most people will not follow this sensible plan. Most people will foolishly stay in Florida .

We'll start with one of the most important hurricane preparedness items:

HOMEOWNERS' INSURANCE:

If you own a home, you must have hurricane insurance. Fortunately, this insurance is cheap and easy to get, as long as your home meets two basic requirements:

(1) It is reasonably well-built, and
(2) It is located in Wisconsin

Unfortunately, if your home is located in Florida, or any other area that might actually be hit by a hurricane, most insurance companies would prefer not to sell you hurricane insurance, because then they might be required to pay YOU money, and that is certainly not why they got into the insurance business in the first place. So you'll have to scrounge around for an insurance company, which will charge you an annual premium roughly equal to the replacement value of your house. At any moment, this company can drop you like used dental floss.

SHUTTERS:

Your house should have hurricane shutters on all the windows, all the doors. There are several types of shutters, with advantages and disadvantages:

Plywood shutters: The advantage is that, because you make them yourself, they're cheap.

Sheet-metal shutters: The advantage is that these work well, once you get them all up. The disadvantage is that once you get them all up, your hands will be useless bleeding stumps, and it will be December.

Roll-down shutters: The advantages are that they're very easy to use, and will definitely protect your house. The disadvantage is that you will have to sell your house to pay for them.

Hurricane-proof windows: These are the newest wrinkle in hurricane protection: They look like ordinary windows, but they can withstand hurricane winds! You can be sure of this, because the salesman says so. He lives in Nebraska .

Hurricane Proofing your property: As the hurricane approaches, check your yard for movable objects like barbecue grills, planters, patio furniture, visiting relatives, etc...

You should, as a precaution, throw these items into your swimming pool (if you don't have a swimming pool, you should have one built immediately). Otherwise, the hurricane winds will turn these objects into deadly missiles.

EVACUATION ROUTE:

If you live in a low-lying area, you should have an evacuation route planned out. (To determine whether you live in a low-lying area, look at your driver's license; if it says " Florida ," you live in a low-lying area). The purpose of having an evacuation route is to avoid being trapped in your home when a major storm hits. Instead, you will be trapped in a gigantic traffic jam several miles from your home, along with two hundred thousand other evacuees. So, as a bonus, you will not be lonely.

HURRICANE SUPPLIES:

If you don't evacuate, you will need a mess of supplies. Do not buy them now! Florida tradition requires that you wait until the last possible minute, then go to the supermarket and get into vicious fights with strangers over who gets the last can of cat food. In addition to food and water, you will need the following supplies:

23 flashlights. At least $167 worth of batteries that turn out, when the power goes off, to be the wrong size for the flashlights.

Bleach. (No, I don't know what the bleach is for. NOBODY knows what the bleach is for, but it's traditional, so GET some!)

A big knife that you can strap to your leg. (This will be useless in a hurricane, but it looks cool.)

A large quantity of raw chicken, to placate the alligators. (Ask anybody who went through Andrew; after the hurricane, there WILL be irate alligators.)

$35,000 in cash or diamonds so that, after the hurricane passes, you can buy a generator from a man with no discernible teeth.

Of course these are just basic precautions. As the hurricane draws near, it is vitally important that you keep abreast of the situation by turning on your television and watching TV reporters in rain slickers stand right next to the ocean and tell you over and over how vitally important it is for everybody to stay away from the ocean.

Good luck, and remember: It's great living in Paradise .

Psssst...Have you heard the news? There's a new fashion blog, plus the latest fall trends and hair styles at StyleList.com.

http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Tyson Chicken

Reading an Article on Wsmv news. Always looking for a different way to fix them.

Always have a few canned and frozen on hand in case I run out of fresh ones.

Cleaning kitchen cabinets and found an off brand can of sweet potatoes. It turned into a prize.

New recipe and tried it. Everybody thought it had come from the Ritz.

Try the recipe:

Sweet Potatoes Peach Bake
3 15 oz. Bruce's cut yams drained
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup broken pecans
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 small can of peach slices, drained
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine.

combine brown sugar,pecans,ginger,and salt.
In a casserole dish Layer half of sweet potatoes.
Then half the brown sugar mixture on potatoes and dot with butter or margarine. Repeat layering.

Bake covered in 350F oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and put drained peaches on top. They have plenty of experience making their way through rivers and streams, up mountain trails and over densely forested land,
Roscoe, a muscular bay gelding with alert black eyes and Felix, who is just a little smaller and darker in color, are part of Operation Nobte Mustang a pilot project of the US. Border Patrol’s Spokane sector that uses formerly wild horses captured from the estimated 31,000 still roaming the West.
Known for their sure-footedness, strength and enduralice , mustangs also represent potential savings for the federal government. They are adopted from the Federal Bureau of Land Management,http://www.wildhorseandburro.blm.gov/index.php,and trained by inmates of Cobradfl Cañon City Correctional Institute. And the only cornpens ation they require is wild grass, some hay, and maybe the occasional carrot.
Here in the remote northeast corner of Washington state, nearly 100 miles north of Spokane, the border is in many places simply a barbed- wire fence in a 3-foot-wide clearin& The terrain is rugged, with shale on the moun
tainsides and thick forests of Ponderosa pine on the flats.
“We’ve been riding them through all of the conditions we face,” says senior border patrol agent Joe McGraw while stroking Felix’s neck, ‘through rivers, on mountain trails, through woodland debris up to their shoulders.”
The wild horses of the West are descendants of the horses of Spanish explorers, Southwestern ranchers, the US, cavalry, and American Indians,
“It really is a situation of survival of the fittest with these horses.” says RIck McComas, the ELM Wild Horse and Burro Specialist for Washington state. ‘The weaker ones, the slower ones, won’t make it in the wild, and certainly won’t pass on their genes.”
Protected by Congress since1971 under the Wild 1ree- Roaming Horses and Burros Act, the wild population is managed by the BLM. Estimates put the wfld horse population at about 31,000 horses ranging over 10 Western states. The ELM calculates that the food and water available to the animals in the wild can sustain about 27,000 musngs.
The horses have no natural predators and breed efficiently. As a result, the herd doubles about every four years. ELM periodically captures the horses in various locations around the West, and puts the animals out for adoption to the public. Since the program began in 1973, more than 200,000 horses and burros have been adopted.

</blogitemurl>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Recipe for Those Counting Calories

Recipe for Those Counting Calories

Everyone in the household is not on a diet.
What are you going to do.

Make all meals healthy.

Dinner for 4:
Lime Shrimp!

Prep Time: 60 minutes (including marinating) and Cook : 10 minutes

Items Needed:

1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 shallot, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 serrano chilies, seeded and finely chopped
4 scallions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup of parsley, chopped
2 tbsp. honey
1/2 cup water
1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 cup olive oil

How to: 1. The earlier you fill out this form the better as far as your chances of receiving the full amount of financial aid that is available to you as well as to clear up and fix any potential problems that may arise well ahead of the deadline for aid being awarded.

The final date for application changes from year to year and is generally somewhere near the beginning of summer. Earlier is much better than later as far too many students wait until closer to deadline in order to fill out their forms and if you have any questions you are likely to find yourself standing in or calling into longer lines for your answers.

There are a few things you need to know about the FAFSA. Most schools require this form to have been filled out before they will award any financial aid, not just federal financial aid. In other words you should check with your school but you may need to fill out this form even if you are only applying for departmental scholarships and not federal financial aid. It is a good idea to begin at the financial aid office of the institution you plan to attend at any rate to make sure they do not have additional forms that they require you fill out in order to apply with financial aid through the university or college as well as the federal government.

Another thing you need to be well aware of is that you will need to fill out one of these forms for each year that you hope to receive financial aid of any kind. This is not something that is automatically renewed or guaranteed. There are many changes that could affect the amount of money you are eligible to receive as well as whether or not you are eligible to receive federal funds at all on any given academic year. For this reason you must apply for aid for each year that you attend.

Another thing that you must remember is that while a subsidized student loan doesn't been to accrue interest until you graduate or cease to be enrolled for the required hours, an unsubsidized student loan begin accruing interest from day one. This means that you will owe a substantial amount of money in interest upon graduation if you take out an unsubsidized student loan in order to pay for educational expenses.

Student loans make college educations possible for many people who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend college. At the same time there are many people, who neglect to use these loans responsibly, which is the beginning of irresponsible spending habits that can plague people for the remainder of their lives. Take great caution that you use your student loans for their intended purpose and use them wisely.

The FAFSA also enables you to apply for Federal Pell Grants and Federal Work Study programs in addition to student loans. Of the three mentioned above, student loans should be a last resort rather than a first. The amount of money available can prove to be quite tempting so be very careful and read all the terms before signing up for any and all financial aid. Your high school, college financial aid office, and the Internet are all excellent sources for information on scholarships, grants, loans, and work study programs for which you may qualify.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Educational Savings Accounts

Educational Savings Accounts

When it comes to getting a college education, financing is one of the most important considerations that you will need to make. Unfortunately for far too many it is one the last considerations that is made when it comes to the educations of our children. If you are a parent you owe it your child and yourself to plan ahead and plan carefully in order to cover the cost of your child's education. There are fortunately, a few great ways in which you can do this.

The most common is to begin by opening up an educational savings account for your child (under the age of 18). When you open up an educational savings account for your child, you can contribute up to $2,000 per year per child. This is a combined total contribution however and includes the contributions of grandparents, friends, and family in addition to your own personal contributions. The money from these funds can be withdrawn tax-free as long as they are used for educational purposes.

Educational expenses in this case include books, tuition, fees, supplies, and college room and board provided that your child is at least a part-time student. If you do not use all the funds for your child there are options as far as what to do with the remaining funds in the account. The first option would be to leave the funds in the account and allow the account beneficiary to withdraw them up until the age of 30. There is a penalty involved and the beneficiary will be required to pay income tax on those funds. You could also elect to roll those funds over to the next child under the age of 18 who will have educational expenses in the future.

The money you set aside in these accounts to cover the cost of the education of your child or children is not tax-deductible however, it is a great way to begin saving money and investing in the future of your child. If you begin investing the maximum amount $2,000 per year upon birth your child should have a nice nest egg to help cover educational expenses. If your child is fortunate enough to qualify for scholarships and other sources of financial aid you can turn the funds over as a graduation gift or save it for the next college student in your family that comes along. Either way you've saved yourself a good part of the worry that goes along with providing for your family by having this fund set up for your children.

You can sign up for programs like Upromise in order to subsidize your contributions with donations from corporate sponsors as their way of thanking you for buying their products or using their services on any credit cards that you, your friends, and your family members have registered to go into your child's account. Every edge you give yourself when it comes to investing in the education of your children is an edge worth having. College tuition rates are rising at an alarming rate while corporate expectations of college degrees are rising at the same near lightening speed. This means that a college degree is more critical for our children than in any past generations.

Take the time now to check into securing the future of your children by establishing an educational savings account. Let friends and family know that any gifts they are planning to give your children that involve money would be appreciated if they instead invested in the future of your children rather than the now. You can also ask your friends and family to sign up their credit cards with Upromise in order to provide a little bump in donations to your child's college savings account. These little steps add up to significant savings over the course of 18 years. You just might find that the investment you are making is adequate to cover the costs of your child's tuition in full.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Common Types of Financial Aid

Common Types of Financial Aid

If you are planning to attend college or the parent of a child you hope will attend college, I'm sure you are concerned over how you are going to be able to afford the process. A college education in many cases is a significant investment. The good news is that there are many options for the average family when it comes to paying the high costs involved in higher education.

Types of Financial Assistance for Educational Expenses

Scholarships. You will find that scholarships come in many different shapes and sizes and have all kinds of strange requirements in order to qualify to receive them. Some are based on need while others are based on merit. You will also find that there are many community and faith based organizations that offer scholarships in addition to certain corporations that offer scholarships in a gesture of good will to employees and the children of their employees. These are an excellent source of educational funding, as they do not need to be repaid.

Federal Pell Grants. This is another financial aid source that doesn't require repayment. However, you must qualify based on need in order to receive this particular type of college assistance. You can only obtain a Pell grant if you are an undergraduate college student who has not yet earned a college degree. There is a formula that is used to determine the amount of award for which you are eligible. This depends greatly on your means as a family and how much you can realistically expect to contribute towards the cost of your education.

Loans. This should be used as a last resort when it comes to paying your college expenses, as this is money that must be repaid with interest. There are several types of loans that are available and you should consider carefully and weigh your options before taking out a loan. However, if this is the only method you have for covering the cost of your tuition it will be money well spent once you've managed to repay the debt.

1) Student loans. There are three different types of student loans: subsidized, unsubsidized, and Perkins loans. You must qualify in order to receive an unsubsidized loan, which will put off your interest accumulation until after graduation or you cease to be enrolled the minimum number of hours. You do not however, need to qualify in order to receive an unsubsidized student loan, which will begin accruing interest immediately. If you happen to be in exceptional financial need you can apply through your university for a Perkins loans. These are low interest loans that must be repaid to the university.

2) Parent Loans. These are commonly referred to as PLUS loans (parent loan for undergraduate students). These loans allow parents to borrow the money required to cover the costs of education that are not covered by other means of financial assistance. Repayment on these loans begins 60 days after the funds are transferred and can take up to 10 years.

3) Private loans. These loans are not guaranteed and are solely credit-based loans. They do not however, have the same limited scope that government loans have and in many cases can help bridge the gaps in actual educational expenses and the amount of money that you are allowed to borrow through traditional financial aid opportunities.

Before signing up for any particular sort of financial aid it is a good idea to see a financial aid counselor at the university you are planning to attend. They will have the best information about what steps you need to take in order to apply for financial aid at that specific universities and unique scholarship or grant opportunities that might be available to you through your state or the college. Higher education is a dream that is definitely worth having. Do not allow financial limitations to keep you from your goal if possible but enter into all financial arrangements with great caution and thought.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Are Student Loans Becoming Necessary Evils?

Are Student Loans Becoming Necessary Evils?

When it comes to getting a college education most people can agree that the costs can be staggering at best. Even the least expensive colleges in the nation can add up over a four or five year period of time creating crippling debt for those who do not qualify for some of the better grant programs of substantial scholarships.

The problem lies in the fact that the parents of most traditional college students make too much money to qualify for the free financial aid that is needs based and very few qualify for the limited number of scholarships that are available to students based on merit. Even among those that qualify competition and fierce and there are no guarantees. Enter the student loan. There are all kinds of student loans and unfortunately with rising costs associated with college attendence and the growing necessity of a college degree for success in this country it is becoming more and more difficult to pay the price that is associated with higher education.

There are three types of loans that are commonly found for college students. They include federal student loans, federal plus loans, and private student loans. Each type of loan has advantages and disadvantages that are unique to that particular loan. Below I will give a little information about each of the loan types and whom they may benefit.

Student loans. There are three different types of student loans: subsidized, unsubsidized, and Perkins loans.

Perkins loans are only available to students who display exceptional financial need. These loans are available at a 5% interest rate and are available to both graduate and undergraduate students. Perkins loans are extended through the university you attend and will be repaid to the university unlike the other types of student loans, which are repaid to the lending agency.

Subsidized student loans are loans in which the interest is deferred until graduation or you cease to be a qualifying student. What this means is that while you are responsible for repaying the loan upon graduation the interest on these loans does not begin to accrue until your begin repayment 6 months after graduation or your cease to be at least a half time student of the university. You must qualify based on your income in order to receive a subsidized student loan. While the needs requirements for these loans isn't as grave as those required in order to receive a Perkins loan you must still qualify.

Unsubsidized student loans do not require qualification on a needs basis. You must be a student and enrolled at least half time in order to receive an unsubsidized student loan. The good news however for those who do not qualify based on needs for other student loan options is that this type of loan is available to all qualifying students regardless of need. The interest on these loans however begins to accrue immediately, which means they can really add up over time.

PLUS loans are loans that are taken out by the parents of students who need the funds in order to cover educational expenses. The maximum amount that can be borrowed is the cost of attendence minus any financial aid awards the student has already received. The repayment on these loans begins 60 days after the loan is dispersed and the repayment period can be up to 10 years.

In order to cover the costs involved in education that go above and beyond what the government recognizes as acceptable college related expenses you can opt to go the route of private student loans rather then relying solely upon federal financial aid for your student loan source. These loans require that you qualify in order to receive them based on your credit rather than your need and must be used for educational purposes only. With these particular loans you really need to make sure you read all the fine print as different companies offer different conditions and different perks. You should really take the time and compare prices and options before taking out a private student loan and this should be done only as a last resort.

Student loans for many can be the difference in attending college and getting the education you are hoping for and not being able to pay the high costs that go along with higher education. For this reason you should treat them with respect and not take them lightly.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Custom Closet Organizers for your Shoes

Custom Closet Organizers for your Shoes

If your closet looks anything like mine, it is full of items, including shoes. I absolutely love shoes. I do get very frustrated though when I want to wear a particular pair but I can only find one of them. I guess this is my own fault though as my closet is quite disorganized. While I am going to organize my entire closet, my first order of business needs to be coming up with a customer closet organizer for my shoes.

The right shoe organizing system for your closet is going to depend on how much space you have and of course, how many pairs of shoes you own. Shoe ranks have several rows for you to place your shoes on. They come in every width you can imagine. If you have only a slim area, consider purchasing a shoe organizer for your closet that is tall and skinny.

Cubbies work great for storing your shoes as well. You can put one pair in each cubbie opening. This makes them very simple to access. Make sure you store them in a manner that they bottoms are touching so that one doesn’t get the other dirty when you stack them. Be careful placing high heels in cubbies because they could scratch each other.

The area behind the closet door is open left bare, but you can transform it into a shoe organizer storage area in your closet. There are some that adhere to the door and others than hang over it. Most of them come with roomy pouches that you slide your shoes in. They are clear for easy choosing. The same rules apply though for storing them as with the use of cubbies.

If you have the room and the money, a carousel with slots for your shoes is ideal. You can get it to turn manually or install a switch. This is a fun and easy way to rotate the carousal until you find the pair of shoes you want to wear. However, this type of shoe organization system is quite difficult to install and very expensive to purchase. You will likely need to have it custom built and installed by a professional.

The cost of creating a customized closet organizer for your shoes is going to depend on the size of it, who installs it, and the materials you use to make it from. Some shoe organizers are made of wood and others are imitation particle board. You can even find them made out of plastic or canvas. Make sure that the material you choose is going to be sturdy enough to hold the weigh of your shoes.

As you can see, there are many wonderful ways you can customize your closet space for storing your shoes. You want them to be well organized and simple to locate. You also want the system to keep your shoes stored without damaging them. The amount of shoe storage space you are going to need depends on how many pairs of shoes you own.

However, if you have the room why not invest in a closet shoe organizer that is roomier than what you actually need. After all, you can’t ever have too many pairs of shoes! Shopping for some new pairs is a great way to reward yourself after the hard work and effort you put into getting your closet area organized.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!
Custom Closet Organizers for your Shoes

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Custom Closet Organizers for Children

Custom Closet Organizers for Children

Keeping ourselves is organized, but helping our children do it can be quite a chore. To make finding items in their closet much easier for them, consider a custom closet organizer. It will help them keep their room cleaner and also help them learn about organization at a very early age. To make the project fun for them, let them assist with picking out the closet organization system as well as installing it.

For the best results, consider a custom closet organization system that you can change down the road as your child grows. This also gives you the option of helping them reorganize their closet in the future. You will want to consider your child’s ability to reach the top of their closet. If they can’t, then organize it to where the most common things they need to reach are at their level.

Placing a clothing rod lower than what is standard in an average closet allows them more independence to hang up and choose their own clothes. It will also give you one less chore to do. They also can’t use the excuse that there is no place in their closet to put anything! Even if your child can reach the top of the closet, adding a second clothing rod is a great way to have more space to hang up clothing.

Adjustable shelves can be place at lower levels for children to store items easily. You can them higher them up as the child gets older. You can also resort to placing items that aren’t used often on the very top shelves where you can help the child access them when needed. Colored milk crates work great for this, and they are very inexpensive.

Adding hooks work well for hats, robes, and jackets too. To save even more space in the closet, consider hooking them on the inside of the door. A shoe rack is a necessity for any child’s closet. How many times have you had to help you child locate a shoe? You can also use a hanging shoe rack. If it is too tall for the child, hang it as low as possible. You can put the shoes that are for rare occasions in the high holders for the child. You can also cut one in half and have to shorter shoe holders. These fit well on the inside of a closet door as well.

Keeping in mind that the idea behind a custom closet organization system for your child is to make it simpler for them, not for you. Each person has their own way of organizing, so let your child decide how items will be grouped. You can give them some pointers, but your child will be more willing to keep their closet organized if they get some say in how it is going to be done. A combination of hanging space, cubbies, drawers, shelves, and shoe organizers can help you and your child tackle this feat.

Customizing the storage space in your child’s closet can turn it from a location of chaos to a well organized place to store their clothing and other personal items. Since the needs of a child are continually changing, you should consider adjustable closet organization products that can change with your child. You can find the right products to organize a closet for any age of child, from an infant to a teenager.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Custom Closet Organizers

Custom Closet Organizers

Do you dread going to your closet? Is it full of clothing, shoes, and accessories? Do you have to dodge falling objects, and then search endlessly for something you know is in there? If this describes the closets in your home, that you should look into custom closet organizers. They come in many styles and are made from various materials including plastic and wood. This is a great way to divide your closet into sections, making a space for each item. You will love being able to open up your closet and see everything neatly arranged and very simple to find.

The first order of business is to take everything out of your closet! I know this can seem overwhelming at first but it is necessary. Go through each item and place it in a pile depending on how you want things to be organized. Some people choose to organize their closet by colors of the clothing; others do it by the style of the clothing with piles for blouses, skirts, sweaters, etc. Pick a system that is going to work well for you. Once you have all of your piles in place you can start allocating closet space to meet those needs.

Custom closet organization doesn’t have to be difficult. You can be creative or you can use the internet or magazines to help you make a decision. Adding a second clothing hanging rack to your closet is a very simple solution if you have too many clothes to hang up. You can also use various types of hangers that put several pairs of pants onto one, reducing the amount of storage space they take up.

You can choose from various dividers, shelves, and baskets to customize your closet storage space. Many closets have a deep shelf on top but it is hard to keep piling more stuff on it. Putting in shelves or dividers will help you use more of that available storage space at the top of your closet. These products are quite inexpensive so organizing your closet won’t be too harsh on your budget.

Shoes are a common issue when it comes to closet organization. Install a shoe rack or even a wooden shoe storage box that attaches to the inside door of your closet. These are great ways to get your shoes together without taking up a great deal of space. It will also ensure you are able to find the shoes you want quickly on any given day.

Once you have installed the items you are going to use to keep your closet organized you are ready to start putting items in. This will be the really exciting part of the entire project. As you see your closet transform into an organized location for your clothing, shoes, and accessories, it will look more approachable and less like a jungle that swallows up your things. This memory compared to your old closet organization will help you stay motivated to put things back into their place.

Custom closet organization may seem overwhelming at first, but if you break it down into small tasks it will be easier. The time it takes you to complete the transformation will be a very worthwhile investment. You will save time each day as you go to your closet and find everything in its place. Who knows, you might even create enough extra space that you have an excuse to go on a shopping spree!

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>
http://www.cachearticles.com/?go=174
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Creating a Custom Closet Organizer

Creating a Custom Closet Organizer

Do you feel like your closet is too crowed? Chances are you have a hard time finding a particular item in it. Have you ever noticed all the empty space that isn’t used in a closet? Installing a closet organizer system can really help you access that open space and put it to good use. Each year, Americans spend more than $2 billion dollars on supplies and kits to organize their closets.

There are so many custom closet organizer products and complete kits to choose from. You have the option of hiring someone to install them or to put them in by yourself. As long as you are able to operate a level, hammer, screwdriver, and a drive; you won’t have any problems with the process.

It is very important that you learn about the various closet organizing products and their uses. For example canvas materials and baskets won’t work well for heavy items such as books. You will need something sturdier such as solid wood. If you have many sweaters, shelves are a better option than wire shelves because they are known to leave their lines on the sweaters. Some people are very good at wood work, and can design a custom closet organization system using scrap wood on their own.

While the ultimate goal with such a project is being able to find everything in your closet quickly, most of us want the design to look just as good. Make sure you take the time to check that the colors, materials, and the style of the design are going to work well for you. If you have a walk in closet you may decide to move your dresser from the bedroom into the closet area. You can also install a bench to sit in comfort while you are getting dressed and a hamper to put your dirty clothing in.

You might find those closet organizer kits on the market to be too predictable and too similar to what everyone else has. Organizing your closet doesn’t have to mean you give up your personal style. Be creative when selection the closet organization products you want to us. Add beautiful knobs and accessories to them. You can find these items at your local home improvement store and at your local craft store.

Use glitter or paints to customize canvas baskets. Spray painting wire accessories to make the décor of your best room is simple and inexpensive. Adding a full length mirror or a round mirror with fancy framing is a great personal touch for the middle of your closet on the back wall.

Regardless of the products you use to create your own custom closet organization system, it is very important that you choose quality products. No matter how great it looks, it isn’t going to do much good if the products don’t hold up well. Make sure each product you choose to use in your closet organization endeavor is strong enough to hold the items you are designating it for.

Proper installation is essential as well. Make sure every item is level and securely fastened to the wall. This is to prevent damage as well as possible injuries. Follow the manufacturers instructions for every item you purchase to organize your closet.

It is always a good idea to mix and match products that are made by the same manufacturer. You will find they install very similar to one another. If you choose to use items from various manufacturers you run the risk of them not installing properly together. There is also the fact that the quality may not be as comparable.

Most of us open up our closet at least once each day. Make it a pleasant experience. You can create a custom closet organization system that works well for your closet and that fits your unique decorating style. The sky is the limit when it comes to how you want it to be designed, so be creative and have some fun with this project!

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!

<BlogItemURL>
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$>">Link
</BlogItemURL>

http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Closets by Design can help you get that Closet under Control

Closets by Design can help you get that Closet under Control

Are you tired of trying to get your closet organized only to find it a task you give up on? This type of software is very simple to use. It will allow you to enter information including the dimensions of your closet. You can then choose from various layouts and materials to get a visual picture of exactly how your closet area can look. Most closet organizer software will also give you information on the exact materials needed to complete the project as it is layed out and an estimate of the costs.

More advanced closet organizer software will keep a complete inventory of your closet for you. This is a great way to always know what you have in there. You can also store the clothing and shoe size of all your family members in there. This makes it a very good reference when you are considering purchasing any items of clothing for them. This is also an excellent way to keep track of household items in the event you need them for insurance purposes.

Not all closet organizer software is designed the same. You need to check the level of expertise needed to operate particular types of closet organizing software. Some features to look for in such software include the click and drag method to add and remove items from your virtual closet design. You should also only purchase closet organizer software that offers excellent customer support services at no charge. Of course the price of the software should be taken into consideration as well.

You can purchase closet organizing software beginning at $25 up to $200 from retailers, home improvement stores, and the internet. Online auction sites including Ebay and Yahoo Auctions are great places to find closet organizer software that is used. This is a great way to get the close organizing software you want at a lower price. Just make sure the software you purchase is compatible with your computer and that it comes will all the instruction manuals.

If you want great ideas for organizing the closets in your home or if you are in the business of organizing closets for other people, then purchasing closet organizer software is a good investment. Look for software that is compatible with your computer, easy to install, and very simple to navigate. If you can’t operate the software then it isn’t going to work well for you.

If you plan to use it to help other people organize their closets then you should look for software with all the options to meet the different needs of individuals. If you will be for your own personal use then you are better off only getting closet organizer software with the features you need to get the job accomplished.

Investing in closet organizer software will allow you to create original layouts for all the closets in your home regardless of their size. This is a great resource for getting your home organized. You will be able to find anything. The issue with most home storage space isn’t a lack of it, just that it isn’t being used to its pull potential. Closets have a great deal of unused space when you consider the amount of room under your hanging items. Put that space to work for you with the help of closet organizing software.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Closet Organizer Kits

Closet Organizer Kits

Do you want to get your closet in shape? Are you tired of not being able to find anything in there? If you are stumped on how to do it, consider purchasing a closet organizer kit. These kits come with everything you need to get the project underway and completed effortlessly. You can do it yourself with some very basic tools that most of us have at home including a drill, screws, nails, a hammer, and a good level. Once you have your closet organizer kit in place you will wonder how you ever survived before you had it!

While you can purchase closet organizers separately, using a kit is going to save you money. You will also get all the necessary brackets and installation items you need to get the job done correctly. A closet organizer kit is a great way to have items that accent each other and give your closet space an appealing look in addition to taking advantage of all that open space you aren’t using right now.

To make the closet organizer kit installation process easier, look for one that is partially put together with minimum assembly required. Look for adjustable organizer kits. Most require you to have wall studs to brace the screws and nails. If you don’t have studs then you can still use a closet organizer kit by installing wall anchors. Make sure you use the right type of closet organizer kit for your type of closet. Some are specific for a particular size of closet or for a walk in closet area.

Installing a closet organization kit is possible for anyone who can use basic power tools and follow step by step instructions. Some of the closet organizer kits are harder to install than others so make sure you get one that you will be able to install. If the option you won’t isn’t something you feel comfortable installing then get someone who more knowledge to do the job for you or to assist you.

It is easier to install a closet organizer kit if you have an assistance that can hold the organizer items in place while you are installing them. They can help you make everything level as well as run and get any tools that you may have forgotten to bring inside for the project. If you are using heavy wood materials, it is going to be much simpler with and extra pair of hands.

If you get in a bind during the installation of your closet organization kit, call the customer service number on the instruction manual. They can answer any questions you may have. They might also have an internet site to help you as well. You can search the internet answers for specific installation questions as well as tips for making the installation of our closet organizer kit as easy as possible.

Closet organizer kits can be purchased online, at any home improvement store, and at most retail stores. The amount of space a closet organizer kit will give you will amaze you. Most people are thrilled with the results they get. They find opening their closet to be an inviting adventure instead of a dreaded chore. Take a look at the various closet organizer kits available at your home improvement store, the internet, or ask for a free catalog from a retailer.

marjory albury

Discover the cache in articles!
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507

Closet Organization Tips

Closet Organization Tips

Making the decision to get your closet organized is a step in the right direction. The task can see too much in the beginning, but with some helpful tips you will get the job done. The amount of closet space isn’t what is important – how you use it is! Break the entire task down in to small, achievable steps. This will keep the project from seeming like it is too much to tackle. The first order of business is to decide to eliminate clutter from your closet forever.

Remove everything from your closet. Be honest about what you find in there. Analyze each and every item. Getting rid of things if very easy for some people, but harder for others. Why keep dealing with these items though each and every time you open up your closet? I understand some articles in your closet may have sentimental value. Store them in an air tight container in another area of your home.

If a piece of clothing hasn’t been worn in at least one year consider donating it to a worthy cause. If you have worn out shoes that you never wear get rid of them. If it doesn’t fit then get it out of your closet. If you have items that need to be sewn or have alterations done, this is the time to do it before you place those items back into the closet. Anything that you have just stuck in your closet for lack of a better place for it needs to be removed from your home or given a proper location.

Come up with a system for organizing your clothing. This can be by color, style, or season. You can also choose to separate them by where you wear them such as around the house, work, and casual. A good idea is to hang all the pieces of a particular outfit together. Keep in mind the goal is to maximize the amount of space you have available in your closet.

Make a list of what you want in your custom closet organization. Do you love shoes? Then you might need a great deal of storage for all of them. Maybe you need shelves for your sweaters or your favorite books you keep in the closet. Start planning your closet organization by measuring the length and the depth. You will need this information to start figuring out how many shelves and shoe racks you can install.

What type of look do you want to accomplish and how much money are you willing to invest in this project? Do you want the organization shelves and items to be permanent or something you can easily remove later? The answers to these questions will help you determine the type of materials you will use to complete your closet organization. You can choose from wood, wire items, baskets, canvas, plastic, and anything else you want to consider.

The key is to eliminate anything you don’t really need from your closet and then set the remaining items up in a way that works well for you. The success of your endeavor is going to depend on the system you device to keep your closet organized. Most of us have never stopped to consider all the open space in our closet. The key to being successful is to find a way to turn that space into something you can work with.

They best way to organize your closet isn’t the best way that someone else choose to do theirs. Remember that everyone has a different organization style as well as different sizes of closets. Your closet organization system should be customized to what you have to store in your closet. There are some wonderful closet organization kits and systems out there, but only purchase one if the set up is right for you. Don’t rearrange your set up to match what is available unless you are sure you will be satisfied with the results.

It is to your advantage to design your own customized closet organization system. This can be done in many ways. You can purchase individual closet organization products to come up with your own design. This can be tricky though when you are trying to get everything to fit properly. If you choose this option, try to select closet organization products that are all made from the same manufacturer. You should always measure your closet space and the products twice to get the best fit.

A much easier way to get the closet organized the way you need it to be is to design your own closet organization kit. While this is similar to purchasing each piece, it is much cheaper. It involves working with a manufacturer who offers design your own closet organizer kits. This works in one of two ways.

The first is you email them the layout you want for the closet size you have. The other way is you email them with the dimensions and a few photos of your closet. They come up with some good layouts for you based on the information you provide. Once you select one that is right for you, they manufacture it. It is shipped to you for installation.

Keep in mind that proper installation of a closet organization system is essential. You want to work with a manufacturer that offers step by step instructions.%
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/02938226138203721507
